Mythos THE BRAVE

Mythos Comics, a small independent publisher based in Los Angeles, is looking for an artist to take over our series THE BRAVE. Our titles include Vamp, Magick, Sulfur, and Samaritan (which became a Sylvester Stallone film on Amazon Prime). You can see our work at www.mythoscomics.com. About the book: THE BRAVE is a period revenge story loosely inspired by the life of Squanto. The first issue's artwork earned a nomination for the Russ Manning Most Promising Newcomer Award, one of the most prestigious honors in comics. Two issues have been completed, and we're looking for a new artist to carry the series forward. The gig: – $75 per finished page (pencils, inks, colors, and lettering) – If you don't do your own colors, that's totally fine — we have colorists we work with. Rate for pencils and inks only would be $60 per page. – Ongoing series work — not a one-off – Scripts are ready What we're looking for: – An artist who can handle a period setting — historical environments, clothing, architecture, and landscapes need to feel authentic and lived-in – Strong figure drawing with grounded, expressive faces — this is a serious, dramatic story, not a superhero book – Backgrounds and environments that are fully realized, not afterthoughts – Comfortable working from scripts and telling a story across panels – A distinctive personal style that can match the tone of the material To apply, please reply in the comments with a link to your portfolio and a few sequential samples (comic pages or storyboards, not single illustrations). If you have any period or historical work in your portfolio, definitely include that. Please also mention your rough availability and turnaround time. Thanks — looking forward to seeing your work!
