Monica and Friends is a long-running Brazilian comic book franchise created by Mauricio de Sousa. Originally starting as a newspaper strip in 1959 featuring characters like Blu and Franklin, the series evolved to focus on a group of children living on Lemon Tree Street. The core protagonists include Monica, Jimmy Five, Smudge, and Maggy, with Milena recently joining the group. These stories often feature humorous conflicts, such as Jimmy Five's failed plans against Monica or Smudge's avoidance of water. Beyond the core comics, the franchise has expanded into animated series, films, and a manga-style spin-off called Monica Teen. Today, the comics are sold in 40 countries and translated into 14 languages. With so many diverse characters and spin-off series integrated into this universe, which character's unique personality or story arc do you find most engaging?
