BBC Announces Animated Preschool Series Doctor Who: TARDIS Crew
The BBC has commissioned a new animated preschool series titled Doctor Who: TARDIS Crew. Produced by Blue Zoo Animation Studio, the show is scheduled to debut on CBeebies and BBC iPlayer in late 2027 or early 2028.
The series will feature 52 eleven-minute episodes designed to introduce younger audiences to the Whoniverse. Dominic Minns, known for his work on Supertato and Tee and Mo, has been appointed as the Series Director. While the animation project is confirmed, it remains unclear if a tie-in comic book series will be produced. The show aims to combine the excitement of the franchise with the educational storytelling style of CBeebies.
