Charity and Sylvia by Tillie Walden
Tillie Walden returns with a graphic novel documenting the 44-year life and relationship of Charity Bryant and Sylvia Drake in 19th-century Vermont. The work explores their enduring partnership and daily life within the context of early American history.

Based on historical correspondence and research, the book depicts the lives of two women who lived as a couple in Weybridge during the 1800s. Walden spent two years researching their story to create a comprehensive narrative that goes beyond their queer identity to show their full human experience. The graphic novel highlights the challenges of rural life, community, and survival in the early United States. It is published in Spain by Ediciones La Cúpula.
