Jim Zub and Alberto J. Alburquerque Announce Dark Fantasy Series Omen-Bound
Writer Jim Zub and artist Alberto J. Alburquerque are collaborating on a new dark fantasy series titled Omen-Bound, set to debut from Image Comics in March 2027. Attendees at NYCC 2026 can access a limited black-and-white preview edition of the comic at Artist Alley.
The series follows a group of warriors and priests tasked with transporting a supernatural prisoner through a dangerous realm. This project allows the creative team to build an original fantasy world, blending classic sword-and-sorcery elements with deep emotional stakes. Fans at NYCC 2026 can pick up a preview copy at tables I-33 and A-33 on a first-come, first-served basis. The full series is scheduled for a wide release in March 2027.
