Nicky Saxx 3
This volume collects two action-packed adventures of the Dutch newspaper comic series Nicky Saxx, featuring espionage and mystery. It marks a notable German-language release of the series, which was originally published between 2002 and 2008.
The stories follow Nicky Saxx as she navigates dangerous missions in Eastern Europe and Canada, blending traditional crime tropes with parapsychological elements. Despite its origins as a daily newspaper strip, the collection avoids repetitive recaps, allowing for a smooth reading experience. While the panel layout remains rigid due to the original format, the dynamic action and atmospheric storytelling make it a compelling read for crime fans. The series is unfortunately unlikely to continue following the passing of artist Minck Oosterveer in 2012.
