Review: Fast Break Graphic Novel
Fast Break follows a talented basketball player named Mikayla Thomas as she navigates a new school and joins a struggling coed team. The story explores themes of teamwork and personal growth both on and off the basketball court.
After being denied a spot on her new school's team, Mikayla joins the Firebirds, a ragtag group that challenges her perspective on success. Written by Shawn Pryor with art by Del Hahn, the book serves as an engaging narrative for both children and adults. It highlights the importance of collaboration over individual achievement in a high-energy sports setting.
