Week 42: Anna Backhausen
Artist Anna Backhausen shares the inspiration and creative process behind her contribution to the 2026 'Fuck Yeah' comic calendar. Her featured artwork showcases chestnut fairies, characters derived from her ongoing comic project.
Backhausen developed the autumn-themed illustration by combining traditional pencil sketching and analog ink work with digital color adjustments in Photoshop. She is currently focused on her long-term comic project titled 'Wanda,' which explores a blend of dark and whimsical elements. The 'Fuck Yeah' calendar is a collaborative project organized by Schlogger with support from Kwimbi and Comic Solidarity.
