The Shonen Jump+ editorial department has officially opened submissions for the Next-Generation Heroine Manga Award as of October 8. This competition seeks one-shot manga featuring unique interpretations of the concept of cute. The definition of a heroine is intentionally broad, allowing for any age, gender, or form, including non-human entities and inanimate objects. Professional and amateur creators are welcome to participate. Special judges for the event include manga artists Kouji Miura, Asato Mizu, and Kentaro Yabuki. Winning entries, including the Grand Prize and Selection Award recipients, will receive cash prizes and guaranteed publication on the Shonen Jump+ platform. The judges are looking for works that capture an instinctive appeal and fresh perspectives on character expression.
