The Salesiano School in Itajai recently hosted illustrator and author Gustavo Borges for a three-day event focused on storytelling and creative processes. Borges, whose work is published internationally, engaged with students and faculty to discuss the art of reading and imagination. This visit coincided with his recognition as a semifinalist for the 68th Jabuti Award in the comics category for his collaboration on a project titled How to Make Friends and Face Vampires. By interacting with an active professional, students were encouraged to explore their own potential as creators who draw and narrate original stories. This initiative highlights the importance of connecting aspiring artists with established figures to foster a deeper appreciation for the medium. We would love to see your current projects; what stage of your creative process are you working on right now?
