Gintama Receives Its Own Official Celebration Day
The Gintama franchise has officially designated October 10th as Gintama Day to celebrate the birthday of protagonist Gintoki Sakata. This announcement coincides with the 20th anniversary of the anime's television debut.
To mark the occasion, the official YouTube channel will host a 10-hour anime marathon and a special live stream. Japanese theaters will also screen Gintama: The Movie: The Final Chapter – Be Forever Yorozuya as part of the festivities. While no new manga content is planned due to creator Hideaki Sorachi's current projects, the franchise continues to engage fans through these commemorative events.
