Le Gang de la clef à molette
Jean-Baptiste Hostache adapts Edward Abbey's novel into a graphic novel about a group of eco-activists sabotaging industrial development in the 1970s American West. This release marks the start of a new collaboration between Le Lombard and Gallmeister.
The story follows a ragtag group of rebels determined to destroy infrastructure that threatens the natural landscape of the Colorado region. Hostache brings the narrative to life with expressive character designs and cinematic desert landscapes. While the adaptation is visually effective and engaging, the 312-page length occasionally suffers from pacing issues. It serves as a spirited tribute to Abbey's original call for environmental rebellion.
