Reflecting on a Childhood Memory in The Avengers #155
Artist Kerry Callen shares a personal discovery found while revisiting his vintage copy of The Avengers #155. He recounts how his teenage self inadvertently damaged the comic by cutting out a mail-in coupon.
While flipping through his 1976 copy of The Avengers #155, Callen discovered that he had cut out an advertisement for the Bring on the Bad Guys collection as a teenager. This action resulted in a missing piece of the comic's story on the reverse side of the page. He also noted that he had decorated the ad page with pen and colored pencils, creating a unique, albeit damaged, artifact. Despite the loss of the comic's integrity, he still retains the book he originally ordered through that coupon.
