Spain Celebrates the Third Annual Comic and Tebeo Day
The Spanish Ministry of Culture is hosting a series of nationwide events to celebrate the third annual Comic and Tebeo Day on March 17, 2025. The program features exhibitions, workshops, and professional meetings to promote the value and history of the medium.
The celebration includes the launch of the 'Lo mejor del Siglo de Oro' exhibition by Ken Niimura in Alcalá de Henares, which uses comics to interpret classic Spanish literature. Additional activities include library workshops in Valladolid and a meeting of the Comic Working Group to support the industry. The official commemorative poster for the event was designed by 2024 National Comic Award winner Bea Lema. Various cultural institutions across Spain are participating in the festivities to highlight the diversity and creativity of the sector.
