The Scarlet Witch Concludes Her Tenure as Sorcerer Supreme
Wanda Maximoff has ended her run as the Sorcerer Supreme in the final issue of her solo series after making a monumental sacrifice to save magic. Her actions against the Extinction King resulted in the destruction and subsequent rebirth of magic, leaving her current whereabouts unknown.
In Sorcerer Supreme #10, Wanda faced the Extinction King, who had weaponized the Vishanti into a destructive force known as the Hexatomb. By acknowledging her own arrogance and reconciling with the Vishanti, Wanda triggered an explosion that defeated the villain but seemingly erased her from existence. While the mantle of Sorcerer Supreme is now vacant, a final scene suggests Wanda survived in a diminished capacity. The series concludes with her fate remaining a mystery to her allies and family.
