Timothy Zahn and Gates McFadden to Write New Star Trek Comics
IDW Publishing has announced two new Star Trek titles for 2027 as part of the franchise's 60th-anniversary celebration. Novelist Timothy Zahn and actress Gates McFadden will both contribute new stories to the comic book line.
Timothy Zahn will pen the Deep Space Nine graphic novel Star Trek: Roc's Egg, featuring art by Ángel Hernández. Gates McFadden is set to make her comics writing debut with Star Trek: Crusher, a story exploring the two-decade gap between Star Trek: Nemesis and Star Trek: Picard. These projects are scheduled for release in the summer and October of 2027 respectively. The announcements were made during New York Comic Con.
