Veritas Oculis – Tome 1
Natsu Hyuuga, the author of The Apothecary Diaries, returns with a new mystery series featuring a card-playing novice named Chloé. This first volume follows her infiltration of a cathedral to investigate a suspicious death.
Chloé leads a double life as a church novice and a skilled gambler known as Saint Fortuna. When a paladin recruits her to investigate a murder under the guise of becoming a high priestess, she must rely on her sharp observation skills. The series blends humor with suspenseful, Sherlock Holmes-style deductions in a confined setting. It is published by Pika and features artwork by You Asami.
