The sixtieth edition of Lucca Comics & Games has officially opened with a diverse exhibition series at Palazzo Guinigi. This new venue will host displays dedicated to the Ninth Art for the next eight years, following an agreement with the Municipality of Lucca. The current program features a wide range of themes, including the eightieth anniversary of Lucky Luke, the Milanese settings of Crepax's Valentina, and contemporary works by Tillie Walden. A central highlight is the Lucca Legacy exhibition, which invites visitors to engage with the history of the event itself. This expansion is supported by the Tuscany Region as the festival continues to grow while awaiting the future Comics Museum at Manifattura Tabacchi. You can view the official #Lucca60 keynote video below. Which of these featured historical or modern comic themes are you most excited to explore at the festival?
