Condorito is a long-running Chilean comic book series featuring an anthropomorphic condor living in the fictitious town of Pelotillehue. Created by cartoonist René Ríos, known as Pepo, the character first appeared on August 6, 1949. The series was developed as a response to the representation of Chile in the Disney film Saludos Amigos. Over the decades, the comic has become a significant part of Latin American popular culture, known for its white humor and satire. The strips often feature a signature flop take, where characters fall backwards after a joke, accompanied by the sound ¡Plop! or the catchphrase ¡Exijo una explicación!. By 2012, the series was distributed in 19 countries across various newspapers. Have you ever read a Condorito comic strip and experienced the classic ¡Plop! moment?
