Review of the DCU Series Lanterns
The new DCU series Lanterns, created by Chris Mundy, Damon Lindelof, and Tom King, offers a compelling detective-style mystery featuring Hal Jordan and John Stewart. Despite initial skepticism, the show has proven to be a high-quality addition to the DC television landscape.
The series follows Hal Jordan and John Stewart as they investigate a mysterious string of deaths in the town of Rushville. Featuring strong performances from Kyle Chandler and Aaron Pierre, the show balances a procedural detective format with deeper character development. It successfully integrates into the broader DCU while maintaining a distinct and engaging narrative tone. The collaboration between experienced showrunners and comic writer Tom King results in a standout production.
