Week 41: Friederike Ablang
Illustrator Friederike Ablang is featured as the artist for week 41 of the 2026 comic calendar. Her contribution addresses global plastic consumption through digital illustration.
Ablang created two versions of her calendar motif using a drawing tablet. She recently illustrated the children's book 'Nuno Nasenbär' for CalmeMara Verlag, which supports charitable causes. Following the Frankfurt Book Fair, she is beginning work on her first self-authored Pixi book. The 2026 calendar is a collaborative project organized by Schlogger, Kwimbi, and Comic Solidarity.
