Jonathan Hickman outlines crossover plans for Marvel’s Midnight Universe
Jonathan Hickman has confirmed that the new Midnight Universe titles will remain independent for their first ten months. Crossover events are expected to begin roughly a year after the launch of the series.

The Midnight Universe debuts on October 7 with three distinct titles, including Midnight X-Men and Midnight Fantastic Four. Hickman noted that the creative teams are intentionally keeping the books separate to allow each series to establish its own unique tone. He also revealed that Benjamin Percy’s work on the Fantastic Four title inspired him to sharpen the horror elements within his own X-Men scripts. Readers should not anticipate significant intersections between the stories until the series have had time to mature.
